Job OverviewAt The Branches of Marlboro, we are seeking a dynamic and engaging Activities Assistant to join our Activities Team. This role is responsible for organizing and implementing programs that meet the individual needs of our residents, promoting self-esteem in a caring and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement innovative daily programs for residents

Lead and implement one-on-ones, small group and large group activities according to the programming schedule

Support and encourage independent activity pursuits, both individually and in small groups

Demonstrate knowledge about residents in regard to background, participation needs, physical abilities, interests, cognitive capacity and attention span capability

Communicate any changes in the residents condition or behavior pattern to Activity Director

Requirements:

High school diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues

Training and knowledge in recreational activities

Training and knowledge of Alzheimer's and related dementias

Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community

Show an ability to relate to and perform job functions for the elderly in a positive and efficient manner

Show a consistent ability to coordinate multiple tasks, demonstrates a positive attitude, and works well under pressure
