Job Title: Transportation Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Compliance Specialist to join our team at Comprehensive Logistics Co., LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws related to transportation safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform DOT and new driver qualification checks
  • Maintain driver qualification and employment files
  • Manage document expiry, including CDL, Med cards, and annual reviews
  • Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, including drug and alcohol testing and record keeping
  • Review and maintain hours of service records and provide training
  • Support driver leasing companies with shadow files and compliance
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and maintain safety records
  • Stay up-to-date with FMCSA and DOT safety standards and regulations
  • Support driver training and orientation
  • Maintain compliance with MCS 90 and MCS 150, and other regulatory requirements
  • Ensure hazmat compliance and support ELD implementation
  • Manage equipment maintenance records and support IFTA reporting
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of DOT HOS, CSA initiatives, and DOT safety and compliance regulations
  • Experience with FMCSA and JJ Keller software preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in transportation compliance or a related field
  • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and work independently
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ability to work in a team environment
