About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of gas turbine engines and engine components within a team environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting visual inspections of engine hardware and recording findings on applicable forms.
- Maintaining accurate and reliable documentation.
- Performing necessary rework of engine hardware.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area in accordance with established standards.
- Ensuring the continuous flow of materials and parts.
- Adhering to all safety standards and regulations.
- Participating in continuous improvement training and development efforts.
- Striving to accomplish team quality and production goals.
- Testing engine components such as interstage housings, gearbox housings, and other engine sub-assemblies.
- Performing engine ship preparation.
- Installing and testing engine components in the test cell.
- May train, provide guidance, and assist in developing other team members.
- Responsible and accountable for product safety and quality of work, including all elements defined in the company's Quality Policy.
- Performing other duties as required.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- A current A&P license is a plus, but candidates with 1 to 2 years of directly related experience without an A&P license or mechanical background in automotive, motorcycle, small engine repair, etc. will be considered.
- The ability to use manual/robotic tools and torquing equipment to assemble and test multiple engine programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
The successful candidate must be capable of:
- Lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
- Pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
- Having grip strength of at least 50 lbs.
