Job Summary
At Virginia Hospital Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our ICU Float Pool team. As a Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect total nursing care to assigned patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to assigned personnel, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Maintain current certifications and licensure, including ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or Compact State Licensure in Nursing required.
- BLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS or PALS certification in designated areas.
- De-escalation training in Behavioral Health Unit or Emergency Department.
