The Assistant Manager for Commercial Restoration Services plays a crucial role in directing, coordinating, and executing restoration tasks to meet service demands and ensure a positive experience for clients. By delivering high-quality, consistent, and efficient services, the Assistant Manager exemplifies excellence in the cleanup and restoration sector while traveling to areas affected by weather-related incidents. These incidents may include micro-bursts, hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, and extreme cold events, among others, to support other SERVPRO franchises in aiding those in need. This position requires travel during storm events, providing the chance to assist individuals in distress while earning a competitive income. When not traveling, the Assistant Manager will contribute to projects within the local territory of West Central PA.

Key Responsibilities:
· Ability to travel on short notice; prompt response is essential.
· Clearly communicate expectations to supervisors and technicians while overseeing their work.
· Coordinate and execute production processes as planned, ensuring quality control.
· Identify safety risks, communicate them, and implement control measures to protect workers and occupants.
· Adhere to and promote safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations.
· Maintain a detailed and accurate job file to document services rendered.
· Manage labor and material usage on assigned projects effectively.
· Safeguard assets by using equipment and materials responsibly.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Mentor and train Restoration Supervisors and Technicians, including temporary staff.
· Keep the Commercial & Storm Restoration Manager and office personnel informed about project progress and challenges.
· Liaise with property owners and insurance adjusters to provide daily updates on project status.
· Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment as assigned.
· Oversee inventory and replenishment for Mobile Command Centers and Large Loss trailers.
· Continuously enhance expertise in customer service, restoration techniques, cleaning products, and equipment.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the employer.

Required Experience and Skills:
· Willingness to travel.
· A strong desire to assist those in need.
· Excellent work ethic.
· Strong verbal communication abilities.
· At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction.
· Proven supervisory skills.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· DOT health card (certification will be provided).
· CDL is a plus.

Educational Background:

· High school diploma or GED.
· IICRC certifications are preferred, but training will be provided for suitable candidates.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

· Compliance with DOT regulations for accessing affected areas. Regularly lifting up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
· Prolonged periods of walking and standing, driving, sitting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
· Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of objects, working with chemicals, and performing overhead tasks.
· Exposure to fumes or airborne particles is frequent, with occasional exposure to extreme conditions such as heat and unpleasant odors.
· The noise level in the work environment may be loud, and the use of a respirator may be required for safety. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.

Work Hours and Travel Requirements:

· This is a full-time role requiring travel for 75% of the year or more.
· The position often demands long hours (beyond 8 hours a day), including evenings and weekends.
· Travel may be local, but out-of-area and overnight travel should be anticipated.
