Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and modifying individual diet plans, creating menus for our personnel, and participating in training sessions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of OPWD regulatory standards and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and modify individual diet plans as needed
  • Create menus for DDI personnel to follow
  • Participate in training sessions for DDI personnel on menus, diet plans, and modified diets
  • Ensure compliance with OPWD regulatory standards
  • Liaise with facility nurses regarding nutrition issues
  • Conduct routine observations of mealtimes for individuals with modified diets to ensure staff competency and diet appropriateness
  • Ensure standards for sanitation, safety, and security in food preparation and service

Qualifications:
  • N.Y. State Registered Dietician's License required
  • N.Y. State Driver's License
  • Knowledge of OPEDD regulations preferred - Experience with MR/DD preferred
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and critical thinking skills
