This senior leadership position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership in driving a safety culture and environment that prioritizes cultural values and is embedded throughout the organization.
  • Culture of Safety Awareness: Lead a culture of safety awareness, continuous improvement, and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Safety Performance Improvement: Facilitate the professional development of our safety leaders and their departments, and raise the effectiveness of safety performance of individual branches.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to safety professionals in the organization.
  • Performance Expectations and KPIs: Set performance expectations and KPIs for the safety team and regularly assess their performance against these objectives.
  • Safety Performance Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate safety performance and trends, making data-driven improvements.
  • Long-term Strategies: Develop and implement long-term strategies to prevent losses to people and property.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with all safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring that the company remains in compliance.
  • Regulatory Agency Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with relevant regulatory agencies and bodies.
  • Safety Training Programs: Curate, implement, and oversee safety training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and assess potential safety-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Safety Budget Management: Develop and manage the safety budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Training Integration: Collaborate with HR and the Training Manager to integrate training programs into the onboarding process for new hires.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management.
  • Safety Knowledge: Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance, as well as industry best practices.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Certification: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation is preferred.
  • Travel: Travel up to 25% of the time.
