Job Description
A highly skilled Financial Expert is sought by Family Building Blocks to support our mission of keeping children safe and families together. As a critical member of the finance team, you will conduct in-depth general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience with technical accounting, general ledger reconciliations, and financial analysis. A strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and practices is also required. Additionally, proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis and data manipulation is essential.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex financial data. The successful candidate will work closely with the Controller to implement and enforce accounting standards, policies, and best practices. They will also stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance in financial reporting and processes.

Some key responsibilities include performing detailed general ledger reconciliations, supporting the Finance team with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and deposits, and assisting the Controller with producing financial statements and public grant invoicing. The Financial Expert will also support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to reconciliations and financial data.

The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per year. Benefits include employer-paid medical and dental insurance, discounted fitness center memberships, and 192 hours of paid time off annually.
