Hotel Assistant General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Assistant General Manager to join our team at Homewood Suites by Hilton Newport Cincinnati. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Hotel General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring that all standards of guest service are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Hotel General Manager in analyzing departmental performance and making recommendations to improve profitability
  • Facilitate management of human resources functions, including HR administration, turnover control, staff motivation, and employee development and retention
  • Create the yearly hotel budget in collaboration with the general manager and department heads
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as corporate and brand-established policies and practices
  • Provide leadership and strategy to inspire staff to deliver exceptional guest service and drive financial success
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Previous experience as a hotel manager, assistant manager, or hotel department manager required
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality
