Job Summary

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a travel assignment. As a travel RRT, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and asthma.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and nebulizers.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans, taking into account patient needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Current RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current New Jersey license to practice as a respiratory therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1.5+ years of experience as a registered respiratory therapist
Work Schedule

As a travel RRT, you will work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights. You will also be required to work one of two or two of three holidays per unit requirements. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated unless approved at the time of booking.
