Key Responsibilities

  • Culinary Leadership: Assist the Executive Chef in managing the back of house staff, including ongoing training, development, and follow-up to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Cost Management: Achieve or exceed budgeted labor and other cost centers through effective planning and execution.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in overseeing weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA regulations and ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: At least 2 years of culinary management experience in an upscale fine dining establishment.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Strong knowledge and attention to detail on back of the house operations, including staff supervision, inventory controls, and food/labor cost management.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills to effectively manage a team.
  • Work History: Stable and progressive work history, with a strong work ethic.
  • Culinary Education: Graduate of an accredited culinary program is a plus.
