Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of power and gas markets in ERCOT, focusing on supply-demand interactions, pricing trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements.
  • Create methodologies and pricing frameworks for hedging strategies in ERCOT.
  • Collaborate in defining TotalEnergies' hedging strategy, establishing appropriate limits and targets to minimize financial risks.
  • Develop and implement mid-term hedging strategies for both power and gas, aligning with market opportunities and corporate objectives.
  • Work in close partnership with TotalEnergies Energy Management and Power Trading teams to synchronize short-term actions with mid-term hedging plans.
  • Monitor portfolio optimization and the performance of energy management partners closely.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in power markets, preferably in a trading environment. A solid understanding of forward hedging and risk management is essential.
    Knowledge of the ERCOT market is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of the energy sector, power market frameworks, and energy trading dynamics.
  • Experience with CCGT power plants is advantageous, while familiarity with other power generation or storage assets is also beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure environment, supported by a collaborative team culture.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work effectively across diverse teams.
