Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all building equipment and systems, ensuring that they are running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain all building equipment and systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues with building systems.
  • Make adjustments and changes to HVAC and related equipment to maintain established operating criteria.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all building components, including but not limited to building fixtures and appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, lighting and lighting control systems, and building control systems.
  • Assist with directing building occupants during evacuations and be knowledgeable with the operation and usage of the fire alarm and life safety systems at the property.
  • Adhere to all company and property policies and procedures, and perform all duties in a safe manner to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal safety and environmental laws, codes, standards, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Two or more years of experience in commercial HVAC or related experience.
  • Successful completion of the company's "Introduction to Engineering" training program.
  • Functional knowledge of the Engineering Assessment Guidelines and ability to demonstrate proficiency in the assigned area(s) of the Guidelines.
  • Sufficient computer skills to effectively administer required engineering programs.
  • Ability to read and use all types of testing equipment, analog digital multi-meters, pressure and temperature indicating and recording devices, air flow measuring devices, and leak detection devices.
  • Ability to read and understand a variety of instructions, including equipment blueprints, schematics, and instruction manuals, furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical equations for equipment performance testing and building operations.
  • Ability to understand and apply correct usage of all personal safety equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with employees, visitors, and contractors with poise and diplomacy.
  • Ability to demonstrate an ability to prioritize workload with attention to detail, and a willingness to complete projects in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Boiler Operating Permit, State Maintenance Electrician's License, EPA CFC Universal Certification Technician certificate, etc.
