Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.



Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Ensure that all private and public locates have been performed, and that drop boxes have all necessary information for the crew.
  • Safety and Compliance: Turn in all daily safety paperwork, and ensure that crews understand the job and prints.
  • Communication: Brief crew daily on tasks and locations for work to be performed, and represent Congruex in all project meetings.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with customers and general contractors for scheduling, and assist in site scheduling (3-week look ahead).
  • Materials and Equipment: Track all materials being utilized on project, and ensure that crews have all necessary equipment lined up and mobilized to the job.
  • Subcontractor Management: Schedule and manage subcontractors, and ensure that all equipment is working per manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Reporting and Administration: Assist with billing each month, approve job cost invoices, and manage T&M tickets.
  • Customer Relations: Develop positive working relationships with inspectors and administration, and communicate issues and solve problems with manpower, schedule, and equipment.


Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground utility construction, with knowledge of OSHA guidelines, equipment, and construction procedures.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, analytical skills for handling unexpected issues and delays, initiative for generating business opportunities, leadership skills for delegating tasks to subcontractors and employees, and technical skills for interpreting construction methods, specifications, and drawings.
  • Education: High school or equivalent education, with a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Personal Qualities: A positive can-do attitude, openness to trying new ways, and a strong commitment to the company's GRIT values (Guts, Reliability, Innovation, and Teamwork).
