Job Title: Project Engineer

Kokosing, a leading general contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in the mid-Atlantic market.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of civil industrial projects, including Wastewater Pump Stations, Water Reclamation Facilities, and large-scale utility projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and understand project plans and specifications
  • Ensure project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters
  • Inspect construction sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction/safety standards
  • Supervise and coordinate submittal process and working drawings requirements
  • Prepare or direct preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, environmental impact studies, and designs for the project as necessary
  • Provide contract interpretation and clarification
  • Maintain and update project schedules
  • Understand cost and productivity data
  • Maintain, verify, and report cost and income quantities for work performed
  • Review, approve, and submit progress billings
  • Analyze, prepare, and maintain job costs and production budget
Requirements
  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field
  • Proficient with CPM scheduling programs such as Primavera Project Planner, Project Management software, Microsoft Office software
  • Understanding of, and experience using, cost and productivity data
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
