Laboratory Supervisor in Oregon

KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Lab Supervisor to join our team in Eastern Oregon. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our laboratory, ensuring the smooth functioning of experiments, equipment, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Lab Personnel: Lead a team of lab technicians, researchers, and interns, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Develop and Implement Laboratory Procedures: Create and maintain laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure Compliance and Documentation: Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate documentation of laboratory activities.
- Conduct Performance Evaluations and Training: Evaluate the performance of lab staff, provide training and development opportunities, and support their professional growth.
- Oversee Technical Issues and Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to support research and development projects, analyzing data and preparing reports for management and stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and equipment. Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Software and Systems: Proficiency in specific software or systems relevant to laboratory work.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
