Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Philanthropy to join our team at Providence Health & Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our major gifts fundraising efforts, developing and implementing strategic plans to secure significant donations, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts strategy to secure six- and seven-figure donations
  • Build and maintain relationships with key donors, stakeholders, and community leaders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize fundraising opportunities
  • Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and prospects
  • Develop and implement effective stewardship and recognition strategies to ensure donor satisfaction and retention
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership on fundraising progress and trends
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressively increasing fundraising experience, including successful major gifts, grants, and planned giving experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, practices, and trends
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
