Position Overview:
The role involves operating Amada brake machines under general supervision to manufacture high-quality components. A solid understanding of various processes and operations is essential to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Amada brake machines, power notchers, rollers, hand brakes, Haeger machines, drill presses, and SPH-13 machines.
- Collaborate with the set-up personnel to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each job.
- Perform basic setups on established jobs in accordance with standards.
- Safely load necessary tools and dies for each specific task.
- Ensure that route sheets are accurate and detailed.
- Verify that manufacturing drawings are up-to-date with the correct revision levels, notes, tolerances, and dimensions.
- Monitor cycle times and calculate parts per hour (PPH).
- Complete move tickets, manage cost overruns, and assist with job routing system documentation.
- Conduct thorough inspections of all finished components.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to comprehend verbal or written instructions related to daily responsibilities.
- Capable of listening attentively and following directions.
- Quick learner with a strong aptitude for skill acquisition.
- Exhibit excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 35 pounds and remain standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime and adapt to day or swing shifts as required.
Educational Background and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience operating press brakes is mandatory.
Work Schedule:
Available shifts include Day Shift and Swing Shift.
