About the RoleThis Paramedic position involves functioning across various practice settings and patient populations, performing a range of activities in accordance with the Paramedic scope of practice as defined by the North Carolina Medical Board.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Perform a variety of activities in accordance with the Paramedic scope of practice, including providing emergency medical care and stabilizing patients.
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Successful completion of an NCOEMS-approved Paramedic Course or a United States Department of Transportation (USDOT)-centered course.
- One year of experience in relevant clinical areas, with Paramedic experience preferred.
Duke Regional Hospital is a 49-bed unit serving the adult population, with an additional 12-bed observation unit and 18-bed behavioral health unit.
