We are seeking a highly skilled Access Navigator to join our team at Ochsner Health. As an Access Navigator, you will play a critical role in managing high-end access navigation services, providing exceptional customer service, and working collaboratively with various departments to meet the needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate referrals via online work queues, ensuring timely and efficient processing of patient requests.
- Provide excellent customer service and access navigation support to patients and providers via web tools, phone, and email.
- Develop and maintain organized record-keeping systems to facilitate the flow and retrieval of information, ensuring seamless communication between departments.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to meet the needs of patients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and quality care.
- Perform direct outreach to targeted patients to schedule appointments, partnering with internal departments and leaders to manage access.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2 years' experience in appointment scheduling, customer service, or related field required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role, and keyboard.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments, exercise sound judgment in handling difficult situations, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
