Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

At Infojini, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation therapy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician prescriptions and treatment plans.
  • Verify patient information and prepare treatment rooms and equipment to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Monitor patient conditions during treatment and recognize signs of treatment complications, alerting physicians or nurses as needed.
  • Explain treatment procedures to patients, including communication methods and emergency procedures.
  • Reinforce Radiation Oncologist advice to patients regarding treatment reactions and care.
Department-Specific Job Functions:
  • Perform quality assurance checks on treatment plans prior to treatment delivery.
  • Perform image fusion daily on patients' treatment plans, verifying planned treatment fields match areas of interest for treatment.
  • Develop and implement custom immobilization devices to accurately align patients for daily radiation therapy.
  • Follow principles of radiation protection for patients, self, and others.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance checks on radiation delivery equipment.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  • Ability to perform complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, judgment, and supervision of radiation therapy students.
Education & Certifications:
  • College diploma in Radiation Therapy or Certificate in Radiation Therapy.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
  • Illinois IEMA License in Radiation Therapy.
  • ARRT (T) certification.
