Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer Project Manager to lead the civil engineering aspects of our renewable energy projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, review, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the civil engineering aspects of renewable energy projects, ensuring all designs meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and assist in creating site layouts and assessments, including project optimization.
  • Develop, oversee, and review bid and construction-level civil engineering plans, including erosion control, grading, and stormwater management designs.
  • Review and oversee the development of hydrology analysis and calculations, stormwater management design, and geotechnical engineering to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project specifications.
  • Oversee projects wetland and zoning permitting process through the federal, state, and local agencies to achieve the required permits for the project.
  • Manage the review process of civil engineering submittals and RFIs during construction, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of technical queries.
  • Analyze truck turning models and other site logistics to optimize design and construction efficiency.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and updating of engineering design and documentation standards.
  • Review and provide feedback on plans and documents prepared by external civil engineers, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Coordinate with electrical engineering team on site layout and design.
  • Review and select racking type and manufacturer for projects based on site constraints.
  • Review racking manufacturer engineering packages.
  • Collaborate with the contracts team to review contract documents, ensuring clear and achievable civil engineering requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to document site conditions, participate in preconstruction meetings, and engage in site meetings during active projects.
  • Coordinate survey work as needed to support project requirements and ensure accuracy in construction activities.
  • Assist in permitting exercises and liaise with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) to secure necessary approvals.
What You'll Bring
  • BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required
  • EIT certification required; PE licensure preferred
  • 3+ years of civil land development experience, with a focus on renewable energy projects preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of Procore and PVcase Ground mount is preferred
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in leading civil engineering projects from design through construction
  • Field experience in construction-level civil engineering, particularly in the renewable energy sector, is highly desirable
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Willingness to travel regularly for site visits and meetings

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $125,000-$150,000, 401(k) with company contribution, health benefits, quarterly bonus program, performance-based end-of-year bonus program, paid holidays, and three weeks paid vacation per full calendar year of employment.
