About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at ThedaCare. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting patient testing by performing waived testing, loading analyzers, and performing lab functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Obtain specimens from inpatients and outpatients following proper identification protocols and techniques to maintain specimen integrity.
* Support patient testing by performing waived testing, loading analyzers, and performing lab functions as needed.
* Adhere to OSHA and ThedaCare department policies for specimen collection and handling to ensure a safe work environment.
* Provide training for new lab and non-lab team members to retain top talent.
* Perform specimen-related computer functions with accuracy and speed, including entering physician's orders, processing cancelations, and entering add-on tests to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

* High School diploma or GED preferred.
* Must be 18 years of age.
* Completion of BLS Certification will be required for candidates working at ThedaCare Medical Center - Wild Rose.

Work Environment:

This role is exposed to bloodborne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties. You will work in a medical setting with high risk of exposure to blood and body fluids, chemicals, and biohazardous materials.
