The Moorings Park Institute Incorporated is seeking a qualified Registered Dietitian. This role involves overseeing the culinary services at The Chateau, ensuring that residents and staff receive exceptional, nutritious meals and snacks. The Registered Dietitian is also tasked with maintaining accurate medical documentation related to resident care. A strong commitment to the well-being of residents is essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates staff training and education for dietary personnel in line with the established education plan, providing hands-on training at The Chateau.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings as necessary to ensure effective communication.
  • Collaborates with the Food & Beverage Director to address operational challenges, resident food service issues, and dietary modifications.
  • Contributes to menu development by assessing the preferences and nutritional requirements of residents and staff.
  • Completes the nutritional assessment section of the computerized MDS as per the schedule set by the Resident Assessment Coordinator.
  • Develops resident care plans based on MDS triggers and proactively addresses any issues that may arise.
  • Monitors resident weight and implements necessary interventions, ensuring thorough documentation of any weight-related concerns.
  • Ensures timely and accurate assessments and quarterly notes, containing all required information.
  • Assists in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of written dietary service objectives and standards of practice.
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding modified diets, sanitation, and personnel.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with supervisors and staff across various departments.
  • Adheres to all HIPAA regulations and standards.
  • Holds a valid Food Handlers Certification.
  • Works collaboratively and professionally, embodying the mission and values of Moorings Park.
  • Implements and oversees work and break schedules for supervised staff.
  • Shares responsibilities with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage in the absence of the Director.
  • Demonstrates initiative in enhancing personal competency levels.
  • Exhibits a strong commitment to the values of Moorings Park.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English are required.
  • Availability to work during emergencies or natural disasters as needed.
  • Must be a certified Registered Dietitian with a current license to practice in Florida.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in food service operations within a healthcare setting.
