Rocky Vista University is seeking a highly qualified Faculty Member to join our team in the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) program. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and evaluating nurse anesthesia students in both clinical and academic settings.
Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver curriculum for nurse anesthesia courses following program objectives and accreditation standards.
- Supervise and mentor nurse anesthesia students in both clinical and academic settings, ensuring high standards of care and learning.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations in the field of nurse anesthesia.
- Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts to meet and exceed accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and academic staff to promote an interdisciplinary approach to anesthesia education.
- Stay abreast of current trends, techniques, and advancements in nurse anesthesia practice and education.
- Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active certification as a nurse anesthetist through the NBCRNA or as an anesthesiologist.
- An active, unencumbered RN license in the state where the program is located or an MD license as an anesthesiologist.
- Two (2)+ years clinical experience in a variety of settings, including academic medical centers, community hospitals, and surgical centers.
- One (1)+ year(s) Proven experience teaching and supervising nurse anesthesia students in clinical and classroom environments.
- Experience in curriculum development and academic leadership within a nurse anesthesia program.
- Active involvement in professional organizations related to nurse anesthesia.
- Record of scholarly contributions to the field of nurse anesthesia or anesthesiology.
- A competitive salary range of $102,727 to $130,000+ per year.
