Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at Rocky Vista University. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring medical students in Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM).

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Direct the education and instruction of medical students in OPP/OMM, providing mentorship and motivation for learning, research, and scholarly activity in classroom environments, clinical settings, active learning groups, laboratory experience, and research opportunities.
  • Student Advising and Support: Be available for student advising, tutoring, remediation, and consultation.
Requirements
  • Terminal Degree: A terminal degree (DO or MD) is required.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Good standing with all regulatory and governmental boards and agencies is necessary.
  • Professional Certification: Eligibility for coverage by colleges' malpractice insurer, if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic Experience: Three (3) years of academic experience as a faculty member at a College of Osteopathic Medicine or as a faculty member in a Graduate Medical Education program, inclusive of residency.
  • Board Certification: Current Board certified or Board eligible in the area of specialization.
Additional Requirements
  • Background Check and Drug Screening: The final applicant will be required to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Video Interview: Qualified applicants may be required to complete an additional video interview.
