- Forming Character: Apply classroom management techniques and appropriate scholar corrections and disciplinary actions to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment, assume responsibility for scholar success by holding all scholars accountable to school-wide behavioral expectations, and recognize, celebrate, and reward scholar achievement and character development.
- Academic Excellence: Establish a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured learning environment that fosters academic excellence and character growth among scholars, set measurable, ambitious, and attainable goals for the year and each interim assessment cycle, and evaluate individual scholar academic progress through regular and varied assessments.
- Must be enrolled in college in your last year of schooling receiving a bachelor's degree in an education program.
- Must have a State Teacher Certification OR meet Highly Qualified Requirements.
- If highly qualified, passed applicable AEPA/NES Subject Knowledge exam prior to first day, and applicable AEPA/NES Professional Knowledge exam; within 30 calendar days from start date or prior to the first day of school.
- Experience working with students and families in low-income urban communities a plus.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills a plus.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with school teaching platforms and technology for virtual learning a plus.
