Licensed Mathematics Educator - High School Level

We are currently seeking qualified educators for the following position:

  • High School Mathematics Educator

The organization is in search of Licensed Educators to deliver instruction with guidance from an experienced Mathematics Educator for learners in grades 6-12. Under the oversight of the Campus Director, the Licensed Educator will proficiently manage the educational environment by developing lesson plans, instructing students, assessing and monitoring student performance, and promoting academic success. The ideal candidate should possess experience in tailoring instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and will collaborate with a team to design educational strategies aligned with students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives. The Licensed Educator will also ensure adherence to the structured teaching model established by the organization. Educators in this role are expected to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth through workshops and classroom coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Mathematics curriculum effectively.
  • Create comprehensive lesson plans utilizing the organization's approved scope and sequence documents and curriculum.
  • Employ classroom management strategies to maintain organization, safety, and a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Utilize instructional methods to inspire and engage students.
  • Assess student performance in relation to curriculum achievements and document progress towards IEP goals.
  • Analyze student data to develop and implement interventions aimed at enhancing academic growth.
  • Ensure communication with parents and students regarding curriculum, school activities, and lesson-generated data.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff.
  • Guide classroom support personnel in implementing instructional strategies and lesson plans.
  • Provide regular feedback to support staff.
  • Engage in routine observations and coaching from campus leadership, implementing action steps post-coaching.
  • Modify instructional materials to meet student needs and IEP specifications.
  • Maintain substitute teaching plans for instances of absence.
  • Participate in all responsibilities as designated for faculty members.
  • Communicate regularly with parents in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid secondary teaching certification.
  • Proven success in behavior management with students with autism or other special needs.
  • Ability to approach challenges with optimism and resilience.
  • Effective communication skills with parents, colleagues, and professional contacts, adhering to organizational guidelines.
  • Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and structured teaching is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of lessons and instructional activities for classroom support staff, providing coaching, monitoring, and mentorship.

ADA and Other Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform tasks such as stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, handling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force, frequently up to 10 pounds, and a negligible amount of force consistently to move objects.

Work Environment:

Work is typically conducted in both indoor and outdoor classroom settings.
