POSITION SUMMARY
The Phlebotomy Team Lead oversees the daily functions of the phlebotomy staff within the Emergency Department (ED). This role includes managing time and attendance, creating schedules, evaluating employee performance, ensuring compliance with protocols, and supervising the responsibilities of phlebotomists. The Team Lead is expected to cultivate strong collaborative relationships with the ED management team and must demonstrate a high level of flexibility and adaptability to effectively address various challenges.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor's Degree in a Science-related field is mandatory.
- Successful completion of an Accredited Phlebotomy Training program is essential.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a high-volume healthcare environment is required.
- At least 2 years of experience performing venipuncture in a hospital setting.
- ASCP Phlebotomy Certification is necessary.
