Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Equiliem Healthcare. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary collection.
  • Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing, including labeling and packaging.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of blood samples, including verification of patient demographic information and initials.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, including explaining procedures and answering questions.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
