Produce Department Assistant Manager

Cash Wise is seeking a highly motivated and organized Produce Department Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the department, including accurate recordkeeping, customer service, employee relations, expense control, inventory, shrink, public relations, stocking, and control freshness by rotating removing out-of-date merchandise.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Produce Department Manager with daily operations and tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our guests
- Manage and train a team of produce department employees, including directing workload, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory, sales, and employee performance
- Control expenses and manage department budgets
- Ensure a clean and organized store environment, including the produce department
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail or produce department environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
