**Position Overview**
The Culinary Team Member plays a crucial role in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and quality standards, contributing to our mission of outstanding service.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare food items in alignment with designated recipes and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring the proper upkeep of all kitchen facilities and equipment.
- Uphold kitchen hygiene standards consistently.
- Manage guest orders efficiently and courteously.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu and all food offerings.
- Stock and maintain designated food preparation stations.
- Conduct visual inspections of all food items prior to service.
- Implement correct food handling and storage procedures in compliance with regulations.
- Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director.
**Qualifications**
**Education:**
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, though not mandatory.
Food safety and sanitation certification is advantageous.
**Experience:**
A solid understanding of sanitation standards is essential.
At least one year of culinary experience is preferred.
**Skills and Interactions:**
Effective communication skills in English are required to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
A genuine enthusiasm for food and a passion for culinary arts are essential.
Foster a culture of respect, learning, and positivity within the team.
Be eager to research, develop, and expand culinary knowledge.
**Work Environment**
This role involves repetitive arm and hand movements, such as chopping and slicing. The ability to bend or stoop frequently is necessary for tasks like retrieving items from various kitchen appliances.
Maintaining cleanliness in the work area using appropriate cleaning materials is expected.
Physical demands include moving objects weighing between 20-50 lbs over short distances and the ability to stand and perform essential job functions for extended periods.
