Position Summary:
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers during patient examinations and implementing nursing treatments as per the physician's directives. You will be expected to understand departmental protocols to perform your duties efficiently and maintain positive relationships with patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient intake by gathering medical history, vital signs, and current health conditions.
- Administer immunizations and medications as instructed by healthcare providers.
- Ensure treatment rooms are well-equipped and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Perform laboratory duties, including quality checks and specimen processing.
- Assist healthcare providers during specialized examinations and procedures.
- Maintain inventory for medical supplies and assist nursing staff as needed.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives within the organization.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent, along with completion of a Medical Assisting Program.
Experience: Preferred one year of experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
- Must meet attendance standards.
- Physical capability to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance.
