POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team. In this role, you will assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and carry out nursing procedures as per documented orders. A successful Medical Assistant will be knowledgeable about departmental protocols and maintain effective relationships with patients and colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct patient intake, including history, vital signs, and symptoms, documenting all information accurately.
  • Administer immunizations and medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Ensure treatment rooms are well-stocked and equipment is functioning properly.
  • Perform laboratory duties, including quality checks and specimen processing.
  • Support healthcare providers during specialized examinations and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory for medical supplies and assist in other operational tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the organization.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assisting Program.

Experience: Preferred 1 year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Must meet attendance requirements.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
