Essential Functions:
- Strategically plan, organize, and implement all facets of the project.
- Identify and coordinate all necessary resources for the project.
- Make informed decisions regarding project(s).
- Act as the intermediary between the field and clients to ensure effective construction processes.
- Prepare and monitor job quotes and bid packages.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Department on Design-Build projects and secure Plan Check Approval.
- Review contracts, trade-specific work, and insurance documents.
- Identify, formulate, and negotiate all change orders promptly.
- Maintain all progress tracking logs and manage the release of lighting equipment and controls.
- Direct, mentor, and train a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, as applicable.
- Work alongside field supervision and internal support resources to ensure project timelines are met and profitability is maximized.
- Prepare for and participate in monthly Project Reviews with upper management.
- Analyze Job Reports and generate monthly cost and billing forecasts.
- Oversee Billing Processes and actively work to maintain a healthy cash flow.
- Prepare weekly status updates for clients, detailing project progress.
- Monitor and approve all job-related expenses.
- Manage and track subcontractors effectively.
- Complete the project closeout process.
- Experience with estimating software, preferably Accubid.
- A Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a business-related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the electrical construction industry, with a solid understanding of construction sequencing, methods, and materials practices, including knowledge of electrical systems.
- LEED AP and OSHA 30 certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, and familiar with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Proactive attitude and initiative.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Ability to interpret and understand Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings.
- Knowledge of and compliance with all electrical codes, Local Union Labor Agreements, and State Compliance Laws/Regulations.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing job requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of complex and technical electrical construction and management practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate leadership capabilities.
- Positive attitude and customer-centric approach.
