The College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at National Louis University is pleased to announce its search for a Full-Time Faculty member with expertise in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or School Counseling to join our collaborative team of diverse faculty in this robust, growing CACREP-accredited Master of Science in Counseling Program.

The program offers advanced graduate training in the fields of Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, and Addictions.

School counselors and individuals with a certification in addictions are encouraged to apply.

As a part of our dynamic team of Faculty practitioners, the responsibilities for this position include teaching, scholarship, and service.

Teaching expectations will cover a variety of courses within our CACREP Core content areas, including courses in counseling theory and techniques, assessment and diagnosis, and internship/practicum/supervision, with some specialized courses in School Counseling or Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Faculty also engage in student advising and mentorship, program-level development and assessment crucial for maintaining CACREP accreditation, and college/university committee work.

The successful candidates will exemplify skill in working competently with students and faculty representing a broad range of cultures and identities.

Applicants must be Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC) in the State of Illinois or eligible to obtain their LCPC within 12 months of hire OR Licensed Professional Educators with PEL-School Counseling Endorsement or eligible to obtain the PEL within 12 months of hire.

This position is a Full-Time Open Rank (commensurate with experience) 10-Month faculty position and could be based out of the Lisle, Wheeling, or Chicago, Illinois campuses.

Bringing your years of real-world experience to engage our students in core counseling courses (both didactic and clinical, including supervision of practicum/internship) for Masters students;

Engage in university service and professional/scholarly activities;

Earned research or practitioner doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in Counselor Education & Supervision required (preferably from a CACREP-accredited program);

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois OR Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement in Illinois;

Ability to contribute to and work collaboratively as part of a diverse faculty and with a student body representing a broad range of cultures and identities;

Experience working as a clinical or school counselor;

Teaching experience in the field of counseling;
