Faculty Position in Clarinet

We are seeking a highly qualified musician and educator to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Clarinet. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching clarinet to majors, coaching chamber music, and coordinating efforts among studio faculty members.

Responsibilities
  • Teach clarinet to majors and provide individual instruction
  • Coach chamber music ensembles and lead sectionals
  • Coordinate efforts among studio faculty members and recruit students to ensure the viability of the clarinet studio and school of music ensembles
  • Participate in school, university, and discipline-related service
  • Maintain active creative and professional activities and scholarship outside of DePaul
Qualifications
  • Master's, terminal degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated record of or potential for excellence in teaching
  • Demonstrated record of or potential for productive creative work
