Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Assistant to join our team at Commonpoint Queens. The successful candidate will provide support to our Program Directors in delivering high-quality after-school programs for elementary-aged youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of program activities, schedules, and team-based projects.
  • Provide coaching, support, and assistance to program staff, ensuring proper implementation of programming and maintaining safe spaces.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with staff, youth, parents, schools, and the neighboring community.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development training to enhance leadership and management skills.
  • Perform administrative and programmatic tasks as deemed necessary by the Program and Senior Directors.
Requirements
  • Applicants in pursuit of a degree in Education, Social Work, or other relevant subjects are preferred.
  • Experience working with youth in an educational setting is essential.
  • Willingness to submit to and pass criminal, child protection, and sexual registry background checks.

What We Offer

Commonpoint Queens offers a competitive salary range of $22-$25 per hour, with part-time hours limited to 19 hours per week.
