Job Description
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in administering physical therapy care programs, monitoring patient progress, and communicating with medical and allied health personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer direct patient care in accordance with written and signed prescriptions from referring physicians or other authorized practitioners.
- Submit required documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain progress notes and discharge summaries for assigned patients.
- Respond to established department emergency procedures for patient safety and care when necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement chart reviews and activities.
- Attend family meetings and conferences related to patient welfare and management.
- Perform related duties as required.
Job Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Current License to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in New York State, plus specialized certifications as needed.
3.1-3 years of relevant experience required.
Additional Salary Detail
The salary range for this position is $58,540-$92,650/year.
