Position Summary:
The Senior Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in executing the people management strategy for the designated institution/business. Collaborating closely with the Senior Strategic HR Leader, this position operates at both strategic and operational levels, serving as a vital partner to the business team. The role necessitates working in conjunction with the Home Office HR Centers of Excellence to implement various HR initiatives, fostering innovation through technology and process enhancements. Additionally, the Senior HR Manager will spearhead significant change initiatives and coordinate support from essential HR Shared Services or Centers of Excellence (COEs). This position also involves overseeing a team of three HR Generalists across multiple Caribbean Islands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy Execution: Implement a range of HR strategies that are practical, measurable, and closely aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Business Collaboration: Act as a partner to institutional HR/business leadership, identifying and executing various organizational effectiveness interventions to enhance performance.
  • HR Metrics Utilization: Employ diverse HR metrics to evaluate workforce status and management practice effectiveness; collaborate with Senior HR leadership to formulate recommendations for emerging issues.
  • Engagement Survey Analysis: Analyze engagement survey outcomes, consult with management, and propose strategies to address vulnerable populations.
  • Collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence: Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (talent management, talent acquisition, colleague relations, and total rewards) to implement major enterprise processes.
  • Performance Management Oversight: Lead the semi-annual performance management and total rewards process, ensuring evaluation results reflect institutional performance.
  • Talent Acquisition Support: Collaborate with managers to develop job descriptions, talent selection processes, and role leveling.
  • Compensation Consultation: Provide compensation guidance to business leaders in partnership with Total Rewards.
  • HR Innovation: Introduce innovative approaches to current HR practices utilizing technology and process improvements.
  • Best Practices Awareness: Stay informed about best practices and innovations in HR.
  • Leadership Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to the institution's HR leadership.
  • Business Acumen: Possess a thorough understanding of the client's business, internal and external success drivers, and financial performance measures.

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise three HR Generalists across various locations, effectively assessing talent and fostering a culture of performance and potential.
  • Team Development: Provide mentorship and support to HR Generalists, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Performance Management: Offer constructive feedback and implement development plans for HR Generalists.
  • Operational Coordination: Ensure effective implementation of HR initiatives across the Caribbean, maintaining consistency with strategic objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree required.
    • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Relevant HR certifications (e.g., SPHR) preferred.
  • Work Experience:
    • 7+ years of comprehensive HR experience across multiple functional areas required.
    • Experience with HR systems preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Proven ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrix organization.
    • Proficiency in utilizing metrics to assess people-related programs and drive improvements.
    • Strong influencing skills to build commitment and persuade stakeholders.
    • Ability to cultivate trust and effective relationships across diverse groups.
    • Exceptional technical and analytical skills.
    • Strong facilitation and training capabilities.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on developing win/win solutions.
