As a Human Resources Assistant at Fanatics, you will provide support in functional areas of the HR department, including recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, and training.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various activities, including answering phones, filing, organizing resumes and job applications, preparing presentation materials for training activities, conducting basic compensation research, and answering routine questions on HR policies and procedures.
- Identify potential issues for further investigation by an HR Representative.
- Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.
- Consult with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience.
This is an entry-level role that requires 1-3 years of experience. You will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the HR staff, including maintaining accurate employment files, assisting with the distribution of communication, reviewing and maintaining employee files, compiling data from the HRIS system, and preparing reports.
You will also be responsible for screening telephone calls and incoming mail, arranging the use of conference rooms, coordinating schedules, making appointments, and preparing agendas. Additionally, you will assist with payroll and benefits issues, perform other related duties as assigned, and have knowledge of general HR functions, state and federal laws governing personnel administration, and general office procedures.
You will be skilled in file maintenance and organizing alphabetically and numerically, office computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.), and able to thoroughly understand the company's HR policies and procedures. You will also be able to maintain confidential information, operate routine office equipment, interact with all levels of management, present information in a clear concise manner, communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees and vendors, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and public.
A high school diploma or GED is required for this role.
