Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Design intricate assembly systems that ensure accurate and repeatable placement of components, along with the active alignment and measurement of laser beam quality.
  • Determine specifications for robotic arms, end effectors, imaging devices, sensors, and optical components.
  • Create software solutions for the assembly and alignment of laser technologies.
  • Construct prototypes, conduct thorough validation tests, and facilitate the transition of new assembly systems and methodologies to production.
  • Establish dedicated testing stations for the calibration of lasers and sensing instruments.
  • Develop software tools for the calibration and testing of laser devices, measurement instruments, and manage essential data storage in a database.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project tasks within a multi-project framework.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science; Master's degree is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience in the development of assembly systems, including precision tooling, vision technology, software development, and measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with laser safety protocols and proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience in project management is advantageous.
