Lead Avionics Systems Technician

Position Overview:

Qualifications and Background:

  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 6 years in the avionics or electrical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include an A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert guidance and technical support in the assessment, diagnosis, and repair of avionics and electronic systems within aircraft.
  • Instruct on the installation and performance evaluation of electrical and avionics components and systems.
  • Guarantee high-quality and efficient installations, while diagnosing and rectifying system malfunctions.
  • Perform operational assessments and analyze the performance and dependability of aircraft systems.
  • Uphold the company's Foreign Object Damage (FOD) program, tool management program, 5-S methodology, and safety protocols.
  • Adjust to unexpected schedule modifications and collaborate with other departments on project matters.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Expertise in troubleshooting various aircraft systems or related fields, including hydraulics, landing gear, and flight controls.
  • Preferred qualifications include APU run and engine run certifications.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret basic schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language is essential.
