Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to join our Maintenance & Engineering team at Alaska Airlines. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of aircraft electrical and electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain aircraft electrical and electronic equipment, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
  • Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures, as well as governing workplace rules of conduct, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform all work in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to attendance reliability policies and procedures.
  • Exercise the authority of an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license in signing the Aircraft Maintenance Log for Airworthiness Release or Return to Service of an aircraft or aircraft component.
Requirements
  • 2 or more years of experience on commercial heavy jet aircraft and/or military aircraft.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Ability to consistently lift 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
  • Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license and a valid unexpired driver's license issued by a US state, a US territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Ability to communicate in English and work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 or more years of avionics technician experience.
  • Experience using schematics and wiring diagrams.
