In the role of Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee the pharmacy operations at our facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacist license
- 1-3 years of relevant experience with strong communication skills
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
- Two years of sobriety prior to employment
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records and address pharmacy discrepancies as necessary.
- Manage and oversee the inventory of medications and supplies.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of medication inventory and maintain detailed reports.
- Take responsibility for the preparation and verification of take-home medications.
- Ensure secure handling of controlled substances by limiting access to designated areas.
- Guarantee compliance with all state and federal laws regarding medication handling and documentation.
- Perform biennial inventory checks as mandated.
- Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff.
- Review medication interactions and provide information following initial orders.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards, including CARF, DEA, and state pharmacy board guidelines.
- Oversee the quality assurance processes within the pharmacy, including the review of incident reports.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
