Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute a comprehensive range of law enforcement duties, including the authority to apprehend and detain individuals, carry a firearm, and provide testimony in legal proceedings.
  2. Conduct thorough investigations and surveillance on various incidents and complaints, addressing matters that fall outside the jurisdiction of specialized investigative units.
  3. Serve as the primary controller for the Base Defense Operations Center, coordinating all integrated defense forces.
  4. Act as the initial commander during emergency situations, including active shooter incidents and natural disasters, while implementing the necessary incident management protocols.
  5. Support federal initiatives related to public health emergencies.
Employment Conditions

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Compliance with Selective Service registration is required for male applicants.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and capability to operate security vehicles is essential.
  • Must successfully complete a medical examination and maintain physical fitness standards.
  • Incumbents are subject to random drug testing and must adhere to security clearance requirements.
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess relevant experience in law enforcement operations, including knowledge of legal statutes and regulations.

Specialized Experience: Applicants should have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-06 level, demonstrating a solid understanding of law enforcement practices and responsibilities.
