Role Overview

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, plays a crucial role in supporting daily operations of the dispensary, being part of a patient-focused team, and achieving iAnthus's corporate objectives. This position involves adhering to company policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant state and local regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operational Duties
  • Engage with and educate patients in a welcoming manner
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in assessing patients for our Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record keeping and email correspondence
  • Provide timely patient feedback to Dispensary General and Assistant Managers
  • Maintain accurate records such as patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Deliver compassionate and exceptional patient service consistently
  • Participate in monthly inventory assessments
Training & Development
  • Ensure all patients are greeted with a friendly and helpful attitude, creating a positive experience.
  • Be knowledgeable about HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
  • Become proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and appropriate dosages.
  • Ensure compliance with iAnthus policies and all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Review and refresh patient educational materials.
  • Engage in quarterly team meetings.
Sales and Business DevelopmentAnalyze daily sales and best practices with team members to meet objectives.Receive training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge.Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to ensure consistent messaging.Provide excellent and compassionate patient service.Company Culture

Qualifications and Education
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced, high-transaction environment.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities.
  • Computer literacy is essential; POS experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts.
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general tools for common repairs.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including general office environments and exposure to fumes, dust, and noise.
