The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and inspections on all machinery and equipment within the facility. This role involves cleaning and servicing machines, as well as implementing preventative measures to mitigate potential issues and enhance safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in on-call duty on a rotating weekly schedule, available twenty-four hours a day.
- Ensure high-quality work by focusing on accuracy and adaptability to changing work conditions.
- Maintain productivity by completing a full day's work, adhering to scheduled breaks, and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrate job knowledge by being well-versed in all aspects of the role and displaying a willingness to acquire new skills.
- Exhibit initiative by working independently, proposing improvements, and showing commitment to task completion.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the workplace.
- Maintain reliable attendance, arriving on time and notifying supervisors of any absences or tardiness.

- Diagnose mechanical and operational issues with assigned equipment and implement corrective actions.

- Verify equipment functionality post-repair or maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and inspections, reporting findings to supervisors.
- Identify defects and analyze causes of spoilage, taking corrective measures where possible.
- Notify supervisors of recurring equipment issues and required supplies.
- Guide and instruct maintenance trainees as needed.
- Perform painting and other upgrade tasks as required.
- Engage in building and grounds maintenance, including plumbing and roof repairs.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Complete additional assigned duties as necessary.
- Set up and maintain production equipment and machine tools.
- Ensure the quality of production equipment, including hydraulics and basic electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in production machinery.
- Follow blueprints and operational manuals for machinery repairs and maintenance.
- Operate metalworking machinery to fabricate and repair parts.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent from a technical school, or five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Exposure to loud noises.
- Extended periods of standing.
- Working with sharp tools and machinery.
- Minimal travel, less than 10%.
