Job Title: Structural Ironworker Journeyman

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a skilled Structural Ironworker Journeyman to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Ironworker with a strong background in structural steel erection. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of setting up hoisting equipment, raising and placing structural-steel members, and ensuring that all craft follow project policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural-steel members.
  • Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of members using Bazooka bobs, lasers, and levels.
  • Have knowledge and ability to bolt members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted or welded in place.
  • Modify steel members to make alterations using oxyacetylene welding equipment or grinders with metal cutting discs.
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and structural members during installation.
  • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
Requirements:

A minimum of 48 months industrial construction experience is required for this role.
