Job Title: Rebar Ironworker Journeyman

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a skilled Rebar Ironworker Journeyman to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Rebar Ironworker Journeyman to work on our Rio Grande LNG project in Brownsville, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and understanding blueprints, selecting and placing reinforcing steel, and ensuring that all materials are properly positioned for structural load.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand blueprints to determine reinforcing steel requirements
  • Select and place reinforcing steel in concrete forms, ensuring proper spacing and fastening
  • Cut and bend reinforcing steel to exact specifications using various tools and equipment
  • Assist in rigging operations, connections, and disconnections
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment
  • Perform minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment
  • Restock supplies and materials as necessary
  • Work safely at heights, including climbing vertical ladders and rebar cages
Requirements:

Typically requires 48 months of industrial construction experience. Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain, climb vertical ladders, and work at heights. Must also be able to safely operate power tools and equipment.
